Import Data (Contacts)
Manage contacts in a number of ways.
- Import a batch whether there are contacts in the database or not.
- Add individually.
- Edit contacts individually.
Before importing contacts, a CSV file needs to be formatted for the SST CRM with proper headers {modal image="images/galleries/trainings/contacts-manage/Contacts-CSV-File-Sample-1.jpg"}(see sample here ) {/modal}. Note the column names (headers).

Option 1
- Select the Settings Gear and navigate to the Export Data tab in left column.
- Navigate to Export Data under Utilities.
- Export the CSV from the account.
- Add the contact information in Excel or other spreadheet program.
- Export as a CSV file.

- Add the contact information in Excel or other spreadheet program.

Import Contacts

Navigate to Import Tab
- Select the Settings Gear and navigate to the Import Data tab in left column.
- Select Import Contacts button.

Begin Import Process
- Make sure the CSV file to be imported is formatted correctly. See above for details.
- Select the Import Contacts button.

Assign filtersOptional: Assign any Categories, Sources or Flags.

Filters & Duplicates
- If the CSV file has Categories, Sources or Flags, select the option to import these.
- Decide on how to handle duplicates.

UploadUpload the CSV file.

Mapping
- In the left column is a sample of data taken from your CSV file.
- Make sure all the corresponding fields in the left column match the fields in the right column using the sort menu .
